And the Winner of TechEd is…SAP Cloud Platform

October 19, 2017

As an SAP Mentor and the CTO of an SAP Partner, I’ve been attending TechEd for nearly 15 years. And while it’s always exciting, this year was unlike any other. As the resident tech guru at Excellis, I’m always looking for game changers and this year, SAP nailed it. While there were many exciting topics discussed this year, the gold trophy winner coming out of TechEd – for innovation, user experience and added value – is SAP Cloud Platform (SCP).

SAP Cloud Platform shows how truly committed SAP is to the digital revolution. I talked previously about how SCP is the virtual glue for today’s innovations, so I was glad to see SAP is now doubling down on the platform. At Excellis, we help our clients – leaders in their respective industries – maintain or achieve competitive advantage through their enterprise applications. And SAP Cloud Platform will allow us to provide our clients with the best user experience even better than before. We’re talking real time data to help make quicker and better business decisions, improved performance, and the value. When less money is spent on IT patches and updates, our clients can focus more on innovation.

And we’re all about driving innovation.

I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention that an honorable mention needs to go to SAP partnerships. As the digital revolution gains steam, today’s success is driven through partnerships with like-minded companies. This level of partnership was on full display this year. Apple’s Fiori for iOS. Beta for Google Cloud Platform on SCP. To name a few. These partnerships are a great way for customers to get the most out of their technology investments, while still allowing SAP to play a role. This is a boon to the digital revolution.

Speaking of partnerships, coming off the heels of both TechEd and the Fiori for iOS Design Workshop, Excellis has some exciting things going on in our design labs thanks to our new partnership with Apple and SAP. All powered through the SAP Cloud Platform. But we can’t tell you everything…just yet.

It’s quite clear that SAP intends to push the boundaries of innovation in not only today’s but tomorrow’s digital world. And SAP Cloud Platform is at the front of the line, carrying the torch, allowing SAP Partners like Excellis to provide greater value to our customers and innovate in cutting edge ways like never before.
